Introduction
Selah (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a daily Bible reflection and journaling app designed to help you pause, reflect, and build a steady rhythm of faith.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and the choices you have when using Selah.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account or use Selah, we may collect:
- Email address
- Name, if you choose to provide it
- User ID or account identifier
- Account preferences and app settings
Reflection and Journal Data
Selah stores the reflections, journal entries, moods, seasons of life, streaks, and other spiritual journey information that you choose to save in the app.
This information is used to provide Selah’s core features, such as saving your reflections, showing your journey history, personalizing your experience, and helping you review your growth over time.
Usage and Analytics Data
We may collect information about how you use Selah, such as screens viewed, buttons tapped, features used, app version, device type, operating system, and general performance information.
Purchase and Subscription Data
If you subscribe to Selah Pro or make an in-app purchase, we may receive information about your purchase status, subscription status, product purchased, renewal status, and anonymous or pseudonymous purchase identifiers.
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, we may use notification tokens and preference data to send reminders or app-related notifications. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Selah
- Save and display your reflections, journals, and journey history
- Personalize your daily reflection experience
- Manage subscriptions, purchases, and premium access
- Send reminders or notifications, if you allow them
- Understand app usage and improve the user experience
- Identify bugs, crashes, and performance issues
- Protect Selah from abuse, unauthorized access, or misuse
- Respond to support requests
Private Reflections and Journal Content
Your reflections, journal entries, and written prayers are personal. We do not sell your journal content, use it for advertising, or intentionally send private journal text to analytics tools.
Where Selah provides features such as journey history, personalization, summaries, or growth insights, your reflection and journal data may be processed to provide those features to you.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Selah. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services.
Supabase
We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, and backend services. Account information, saved reflections, journal entries, mood or season selections, app preferences, and related app data may be stored using Supabase.
PostHog
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how users interact with Selah and to improve the app experience. On this marketing website, PostHog may collect page views, device and browser information, referrer data, and interaction events such as waitlist CTA clicks and FAQ opens. In the mobile app, PostHog may also collect screens viewed, feature usage, app version, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, and anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers.
After sign-in, a user's email address may be attached to their analytics profile for support and debugging purposes. We do not intentionally send private journal entries, reflection text, prayers, waitlist email addresses, or personal written content to PostHog.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, free trials, and premium access. RevenueCat may process purchase-related information such as subscription status, product purchased, transaction identifiers, renewal status, and anonymous or pseudonymous app user identifiers.
Apple App Store
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process payment and transaction information according to its own policies.
Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure cloud infrastructure and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate Selah
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of Selah, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice where required
Analytics and Tracking
We use analytics to understand app usage and improve Selah. We do not use analytics for third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or selling personal data.
If we introduce new analytics, advertising, or tracking features in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures as required.
Your Rights and Choices
You may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your reflection or journal data, where available

Selah is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International Data Processing
Selah and its service providers may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we take steps to protect your information in accordance with applicable laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
